† What's a "Minion"? Can I become one?
You're already a Minion! If you've ever felt like maybe you didn't fit in somewhere, you fit in with the Minion Horde. Just trust me on this.
Generally, a Minion is someone who's even mildly interested in my books. But I've found that it means so much more now. We have two goals in the Minion Horde: 1. Stomp out bullying. and 2. World domination. Many Minions hang out in the forum. You should check it out.
† What is "Minion Bling"? And how can I get some?
Minion Bling are the cool buttons I give out to people. The majority feature the vampire smiley from my book covers, but some have sayings, such as "Vampires Suck". Bling is totally free. You can become the proud new owner of Minion Bling by either visiting me during one of my public events, or by mailing a SASBE (self-addressed stamped bubble envelope) with at least $1.60 postage attached to:
Auntie Heather Brewer
12685 Dorsett Road #317
Maryland Heights, MO 63043
Please do not send money, and please, please be patient while waiting for your Minion Bling. Auntie Heather is enormously busy writing books for you, so sometimes Minion Bling orders fall to the bottom of her list of priorities. Writing comes first!
† Where/when can I meet you?
Any public appearances I schedule are immediately posted on my Appearances page. Check it often!
† Can you come to Indiana/Idaho/Mississippi/Cancun/Mars/Insert-Place-Here?
I would love to! But no. Well...maybe. Generally, my publisher determines where I travel, Minions. So it's not up to me to pick and choose stops on my tours. Sorry! I wish I could visit you all!
† Can you help me with my author biography homework?/Tell me more about you!
I receive many emails inquiring about this, so let's see if I can give you the basics. I was born on September 21, 1973 in Lapeer, Michigan. I grew up in a small town called Columbiaville, Michigan, but have lived in several places in that state, as well as in Colorado, Mississippi, Nebraska, and Utah. I currently reside in Saint Louis, Missouri with my husband and two children. My hobbies consist largely of reading, collecting antique medical instruments, visiting cemeteries, and attending renaissance faires. My favorite color is black. I have three cats (named Amenti, Fang, and Loki). And I am the proud owner of an actual coffin couch (thanks to the genius of www.coffincouches.com). Anything else you absolutely need to know about me, you can feel free to ask via Twitter or Facebook.
† Are you going to write more Vlad books?/Will you write anything after you finish the Vlad series?
The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod series is now complete with the release of the fifth and final Vlad book, TWELFTH GRADE KILLS. However, a spin-off series has begun in the first book of The Slayer Chronicles, FIRST KILL. If you love CoVT, you should definitely pick up TSK - even if you're still holding a grudge against Joss. Trust me. I'm also about to release the first book in my The Legacy of Tril series, SOULBOUND. No worries, my Minions - I have no plans to stop writing any time soon. I will write until my fingers fall off...and then I will use my tongue.
† Will there be a Vlad movie?/Can I be in the Vlad movie?
Currently, there is no Vlad movie in the works, but one can always hope. If one day there is one, I'll try to let you know so you can try out for a part (if I'm given that info in time).
† How can I get one of those cool hoodies from the cover of EIGHTH GRADE BITES?
There's all sorts of amazing Vlad related merchandise available for purchase on www.highschoolbites.com!
† Will you sign my book if I mail it to you?
I used to do this, but it quickly became overwhelming, so no. I cannot sign and ship back any books/items sent to me. Sorry! If you'd like a signed book, please contact:

† Why haven't you emailed me back?
There was a time when I prided myself on the fact that I would answer every email I'd receive. Sadly, there are just too many now, so those that can be answered by the FAQ or don't require an answer are read, but not replied to. I need time to devote to my writing, after all. But I do appreciate each and every email I receive, so please keep sending them!
† How do I become an author?
First step: you write. Sounds simple, right? But the most difficult aspect of becoming a published writer is often reaching "the end". To do so, set yourself a daily writing goal, and stick with it. Once you've hit "the end" and polished your work until your eyes are bleeding, you read this blog entry.
† What if I have a question you haven't answered here?
Then you email me, and wait patiently (at times, very patiently) while I get back to you. While you're waiting, you read a good book.
